Poznan apartment building features Europe's largest vertical garden

The Aura apartment complex in Poznan, Poland, is nearing completion of its vertical garden, which is set to be the largest of its kind in this part of Europe. The facade features approximately 140,000 plants covering an area of about 1,700 square meters.

Designed by Robert Konieczny of the KWK Promes studio for investor Piotr Voelkel, the project aimed to integrate the building into the existing ecosystem. The plant species were specifically cultivated and tested over a five-year period to ensure they could thrive on the structure. The building will house 55 apartments, with some units offering views of Cytadela Park.
