Pozo Hondo residents seek legislative support for regional development

Representatives from the community of Pozo Hondo, located in the Mariscal Estigarribia district of Boquerón, met with Deputy Francisco Petersen to request legislative mediation for several urgent regional needs.

The community's primary demands include improvements in healthcare through the construction of an expanded Family Health Unit (USF) equipped with specialized medical services, and the establishment of a comprehensive educational institution covering initial, basic, and secondary levels to prevent school dropout rates.

Additional requests focus on legal security and economic development. Residents are seeking land titling to provide legal certainty to families, job opportunities for trained locals, and the installation of a Civil Registry office to reduce the need for long-distance travel for administrative tasks. Furthermore, the community is urging the 24-hour activation of the Misión La Paz - Pozo Hondo international bridge to boost trade, tourism, and cargo transport.
