Pozuelo de Calatrava named tourist municipality and increases cultural funding

Pozuelo de Calatrava has received official recognition as a ‘Municipio Turístico de Castilla-La Mancha’. Mayor David Triguero accepted the distinction in Sigüenza from regional president Emiliano García-Page. The municipality is one of only 27 in the region to hold this title, which was achieved following years of administrative preparation and local improvements, including the development of the La Inesperada natural reserve and urban rehabilitations.

In a separate development, the local government has nearly doubled its financial support for cultural associations. The municipality signed collaboration agreements totaling more than 90,000 euros to support various local groups, including music schools, equestrian associations, and cultural collectives. These funds aim to maintain local traditions and foster community social cohesion.
