Pozzuoli citizens protest for state of emergency over bradysism

Citizens in Pozzuoli, organized under the ‘Comitato Emergenza Campi Flegrei’, have announced a peaceful protest at the municipal council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 9. The protest aims to demand a formal declaration of a state of emergency regarding bradysism (volcanic activity/ground movement).

Spokesperson Laura Iovinelli stated that an official technical report from the Municipality of Pozzuoli highlights the necessity of this emergency status. The committee plans to hold a demonstration at the entrance of the ‘Nino Gentile’ council hall starting at 08:30, intending to observe the debate closely and pressure local politicians to act on safety concerns.
