Pozzuoli man arrested for attempted murder after hitting couple with car
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in Pozzuoli on suspicion of attempted murder after driving a vehicle into a couple on a sidewalk in via Campi Flegrei.
According to investigators, the attack was not an accident but was motivated by jealousy. The suspect allegedly targeted a 33-year-old woman and her 37-year-old partner after observing them walking hand in hand. The driver reportedly swerved from the roadway onto the sidewalk, striking both individuals and causing various injuries and contusions.
The Pozzuoli Municipal Police, led by Commander Fabio Felice De Silva, conducted the investigation and arrested the man, who has been handed over to the judicial authorities.
