PP leaders criticize Spanish government over infrastructure neglect in Málaga
Patricia Navarro, president of the People's Party (PP) in Málaga, has announced that the party will focus its campaign on a message of hope and change, aiming to end what she describes as the central government's hostility toward the province.
Navarro, alongside Elías Bendodo, criticized the current administration for a lack of investment in critical infrastructure over the last eight years. Specific grievances include the absence of highway improvements, the lack of new trains to alleviate the collapsed Cercanías service, and a shortage of train drivers for medium-distance routes. She also noted that the AVE service lost 47% of its users in the first half of the year due to infrastructure malfunctions.
Additionally, the PP leadership highlighted issues regarding beach stabilization plans, a lack of hydraulic infrastructure, and electrical capacity shortages that have stalled the delivery of 25,000 properties. In terms of public safety, Navarro pointed to a deficit of 1,200 security agents in the province.
