PPC Blue and PENNY expand EV charging network in Romania

PPC Blue România and the PENNY retail chain are expanding their five-year partnership to grow electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Romania. By the end of 2026, the collaboration aims to exceed 100 locations and 250 charging points distributed across more than 80 localities.

Currently, PPC Blue operates 75 locations and over 200 charging points in 65 localities within PENNY stores. The existing infrastructure has a total power of 6.2 MW across 95 stations, including 50 DC fast chargers. The companies expect the total network power to reach approximately 8 MW by the end of this year, with an increased focus on high-speed stations to reduce charging times.

Planned expansions include new charging stations in cities such as Hârșova, Medgidia, Călărași, and Constanța. The initiative is designed to integrate sustainable mobility into daily routines by making charging accessible at common shopping destinations.
