PPC Energie launches dynamic electricity tariff for small businesses

PPC Energie has launched PPC Ore Smart PRO, a dynamic tariff offering specifically designed for small businesses in Romania with an estimated annual consumption of under 200,000 kWh. This is currently the only offer of its kind in the country that allows small enterprises to reduce operational costs by aligning their energy consumption with specific low-price time intervals.

The offer requires the use of smart meters and provides a fixed electricity price for a 12-month period. Reduced rates, ranging between 1.00 and 1.09 lei/kWh depending on the distribution zone, are available during the following periods:

• All day on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. • Weekdays between 00:00 and 05:59. • Weekdays between 11:00 and 14:59 from March 1 to October 31, coinciding with high photovoltaic energy production.

During all other periods, the final price ranges from 1.65 to 1.73 lei/kWh. Ionuț Dună, General Director of PPC Energie, stated that the initiative responds to the need for small entrepreneurs to better control operational costs. The plan is aimed at businesses with constant activity or equipment, such as food producers, IT firms, restaurants, and local public institutions.
