PPCV introduces urgent Forest Law proposal in Valencia

Juanfran Pérez Llorca, leader of the PPCV, has introduced a legislative proposal to update the Forest Law in the Valencian Community via an urgent procedure in the Corts. By presenting this as a ‘proposición de ley’ rather than a ‘proyecto de ley’, the parliamentary group bypasses several administrative steps, such as public consultation and prior approval by the Consell, potentially accelerating its passage before upcoming elections.

The proposed law aims to modernize regulations from 1993 and 2003 to better manage forest mass as a wildfire prevention method. Key measures include providing direct aid and promoting tax deductions for forest owners to encourage better land management.
