PPP holds structural consolidation in Sampang for 2029 elections

The United Development Party (PPP) has initiated structural consolidation in Sampang, Madura, to prepare for the 2029 elections. During a visit on October 5, 2026, PPP Chairman Muhamad Mardiono met with local officials to strengthen communication between central and regional structures.

Key strategic focuses include strengthening party organization at the grassroots level, engaging youth through movement-based initiatives, and maintaining close ties with Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and religious scholars. Party leaders also emphasized the importance of securing votes by ensuring the presence of witnesses at polling stations and safeguarding election result documents.

In his address, Mardiono highlighted global instability, noting that international conflicts and trade disruptions could impact Indonesia's food security, energy prices, and fertilizer availability. He also noted the need to address corruption and economic inequality to improve public welfare.
