Prabhas period drama Fauzi delayed to 2027

The release of the highly anticipated period action drama ‘Fauzi’, starring Prabhas, has been delayed to 2027. Originally scheduled for a December 2026 release, the film is reportedly being pushed back due to pending post-production requirements.

Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers confirmed the postponement during a recent event, stating that the film is of a massive scale and that the delay is necessary to ensure quality. He noted that the production aims to deliver a grand cinematic experience comparable to the scale of ‘Baahubali’.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, ‘Fauzi’ features a cast including Imanvi Esmail, Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty, and Anupam Kher. The project is presented by T-Series Films and backed by Mythri Movie Makers. The delay moves the film away from a potential box office clash with Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Vrushakarma’ and Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Sri Sri’.
