Prabowo proposes ad hoc court for BUMN investigations

President Prabowo Subianto has proposed the formation of an ad hoc court specifically designed to investigate alleged irregularities within the management of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). The President suggested that this special court could potentially investigate the actions of directors and management dating back 30 years.

In response to the proposal, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated it is currently awaiting a concrete action plan from the government. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto noted that while the agency has not yet entered formal discussions, it views the discourse positively, particularly regarding its potential to improve public welfare.

President Prabowo indicated intentions to engage in dialogue with the House of Representatives (DPR RI) to discuss the implementation of this plan.
