Prabowo Subianto emphasizes household welfare in development goals

President Prabowo Subianto has emphasized that national development success should be measured by its direct impact on household welfare rather than just high economic growth figures. Speaking at the 11th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia, he stated that development must be inclusive, focusing on indicators such as food nutrition at the family dining table, access to fertilizer for farmers, affordable housing, and job availability for youth.

This philosophy underpins priority programs such as the free nutritious meal initiative for children and pregnant women, as well as efforts toward food and energy self-sufficiency and industrial downstreaming.

Separately, recent polling data indicates a decline in President Prabowo’s electability as he approaches his second year in office. A survey by Tempo Data Science placed his electability at 15%, trailing West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, who reached 42%. Other figures mentioned in the survey include Anies Baswedan at 10% and Gibran Rakabuming Raka at 6%.
