Prabowo Subianto praises cabinet performance and reshuffles Finance Ministry

President Prabowo Subianto has praised the performance of the Merah Putih Cabinet, noting that the government has implemented 125 significant policies within two years. During an event in Jakarta, the President highlighted several economic achievements, including a decrease in fertilizer prices and increased production. He also reported substantial revenue growth for several state-owned enterprises (BUMN), such as PT Pupuk Indonesia, PT Perkebunan Nusantara, Pertamina, and PT Semen Indonesia.

President Prabowo specifically emphasized the success of Danantara, an investment management agency designed to consolidate and optimize strategic national investments. He stated that Danantara’s income increased by 400 percent within 1.5 years.

In a separate cabinet reshuffle, Suahasil Nazara has been appointed as the Minister of Finance, replacing Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. This marks the second leadership change at the Ministry of Finance during Prabowo’s administration. Purbaya indicated that the sudden replacement may be related to a large-scale rotation of 350 officials within the Directorate General of Taxes.
