Prabowo Subianto vows no protection for associates in corruption cases

President Prabowo Subianto has reaffirmed his commitment to anti-corruption efforts, stating he will not protect those close to him from legal consequences. During a recent program, the President cited the case of Dadan Hindayana, a former campaign expert and former head of the National Nutrition Agency, whom he personally handed over to prosecutors following corruption allegations.

Prabowo also highlighted the seizure of Hotel Sultan, owned by an associate, as evidence that he prioritizes the law over personal friendships. He noted that since his time as Minister of Defense, he has strictly prohibited associates from engaging in business with the ministry to avoid conflicts of interest.

This stance follows reports regarding the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, Nusron Wahid. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently investigating allegations of bribery and gratification within the ministry. While the KPK continues its investigation into the involvement of individuals within the minister's inner circle, the State Secretariat has emphasized that the President will not interfere in legal processes handled by law enforcement.
