Prabowo Subianto outlines economic, social, and security priorities

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has outlined several key domestic priorities and policy stances during recent public appearances and forums. Addressing the 28th anniversary of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Prabowo emphasized his commitment to eradicating hunger and poverty, specifically targeting the prevention of stunting and malnutrition in children to ensure a healthy future generation.

On economic matters, the President criticized neoliberal capitalism, advocating for an economic system based on the principle of family togetherness as mandated by the 1945 Constitution. He argued that natural resource management must serve the prosperity of the people rather than concentrating wealth in small groups. He also pledged to support local fishermen by constructing thousands of vessels to counter the presence of tens of thousands of foreign ships in Indonesian waters.

Regarding national security and stability, Prabowo addressed intelligence reports suggesting intellectual actors may be behind recent civil unrest, noting that some youths were allegedly manipulated with small cash incentives. He also warned that modern warfare often involves disinformation on social media and cautioned that democracy could be compromised by those with significant, illicitly obtained economic power. Additionally, Palestinian Ambassador Abdalfatah A. K. Al-Sattari expressed gratitude for Indonesia's continued support for Palestine during a recent event in Ponorogo.
