Prachin Buri flash floods hit four districts after heavy rain

Heavy rainfall in Khao Yai National Park, measuring between 100 and 200 millimeters, has triggered flash floods across four districts in Prachin Buri province: Prachantakham, Na Di, Kabin Buri, and Si Maha Phot.

The flooding has caused significant disruption to transportation, with water levels on Suwannasorn Road reaching over 20 centimeters in several spots. Other local roads have seen water levels between 20 and 100 centimeters, making them impassable for small vehicles.

Rescue teams, including Maejo Rescue from Chiang Mai, have deployed high-clearance vehicles and flat-bottom boats to evacuate vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, bedridden patients, and children. Residents in flooded areas, including Wang Tha Chang in Kabin Buri, have been forced to evacuate as water levels continue to rise due to ongoing rainfall.
