Practical Magic 2 sequel confirmed for September release

The sequel to the fantasy film Practical Magic, titled Practical Magic 2, is scheduled for a theatrical release in September. According to the Irish Film Classification Office, the film will have a runtime of approximately 130 minutes, making it significantly longer than the original 1998 film.

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are set to reprise their roles as Sally and Gillian Owens. The story, based on Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel The Book of Magic, follows Sally’s daughter, Kylie, played by Joey King, as she discovers family secrets and dark abilities. Returning cast members include Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, while new additions include Maisie Williams, Lee Pace, and Xolo Maridueña.
