Pradera residents report frequent waste burning in El Diamante

Residents of the El Diamante neighborhood in Pradera have reported frequent waste burning in a lot located near several homes. The community states that these activities primarily occur in the afternoons, producing smoke that forces families to close their doors and windows to prevent it from entering their houses.

According to local resident Natalia Andrea Bolaños, the materials being burned include leaves, branches, and other accumulated waste. Residents expressed concern regarding the health impacts on vulnerable populations, specifically children and the elderly.

The community has called for intervention from municipal and environmental authorities to inspect the site, implement corrective measures, and promote proper waste disposal campaigns.
