Ravi Pradosh Vrat on July 26, 2026 Marks Two Auspicious Yogas

The final Pradosh Vrat of the Ashadha month occurs on Sunday, 26 July 2026, making it a Ravi Pradosh Vrat. Two rare yogas, Indra Yoga and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, are present on this day. Traditional guidance advises that worship of Lord Shiva be performed after sunset, during the Pradosh Kaal. The primary puja window runs from 7:16 PM to 9:21 PM, with the most favorable period from 7:16 PM to 8:34 PM and an additional Amrit Muhurat from 8:34 PM to 9:52 PM.

Astrological details note that the Ashadha Shukla Trayodashi begins at 1:57 PM on 26 July and ends at 4:14 PM on 27 July. Rituals include bathing, chanting “Om Namah Shivaya,” offering cow’s milk, ghee, and other sanctified items to the Shiva lingam, and avoiding tamasic foods such as garlic, onion, meat, and alcohol. Articles also warn against wearing black, offering tulsi leaves, sindoor or turmeric on the lingam, and advise keeping a silver square piece in the pocket for concentration. Day‑time worship is prohibited; all rites must be performed after sunset to receive Shiva’s blessings.
