Prafull Singh sets Guinness World Record for Delhi Metro journey

Prafull Singh, an employee of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), has set a new Guinness World Record by traveling across all stations in the Delhi Metro network in 14 hours, 54 minutes, and 36 seconds.

Singh completed the journey on May 23, starting at 6 am from Raja Nahar Singh station on the Violet Line and finishing at Millennium City Centre station in Gurugram at approximately 9 pm. This feat surpassed the previous record of 15 hours, 21 minutes, and 4 seconds, set in June 2023 by Sujoy Kumar Mitra and Shipra Gupta.

His success was attributed to detailed route planning and his professional expertise as a DMRC operations employee, which provided him with an advantage in understanding train schedules and interchanges. Singh previously attempted the challenge in 2022, completing the 254 stations in 16 hours, 2 minutes, and 17 seconds, but was delayed by a routing error.
