Prague 10 to host Švejk multidisciplinary festival

The Prague 10 district is organizing a multidisciplinary festival titled ‘Švejk na Čecháči’ on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Held in the Vršovice area, the event will occupy Svatopluk Čech Square and Moskevská Street to celebrate the work of Jaroslav Hašek as part of a dedicated thematic year.

The festival features a diverse program including readings by Jiří Lábuse, theatrical performances, period films, a fashion show, and a Švejk parade. Participants can also engage in an audiobook recording project at the Waldes Literary Center or take part in an experiential route based on the story of ‘The Good Soldier Švejk’. The event, which is free to the public, will conclude with a concert by the band Patrola Šlapeto.
