Prague 13 to Open New Private Sports Gymnasium by 2027
The mayor of Prague 13, David Vodrážka, visited the construction site of a new four‑year private sports gymnasium together with future director Monika Johánková. The building’s shell is complete and interior works, including technical installations and classroom fit‑out, are proceeding on schedule. The gymnasium will accommodate up to 300 students across three classes per year, with a maximum of 25 pupils per class, and will offer a modern curriculum that combines general secondary education with intensified sports training. Facilities will include a four‑storey school block, a covered sports hall with gymnastic aisles, a climbing wall, padel courts, and access to the adjacent Jeremi sports centre for activities such as badminton, squash, MMA and fitness. A sports‑focused nursery for up to 60 children will also be part of the complex. The first cohort is expected to start in September 2027, with preparatory courses beginning in September 2026.
