Prague 14 deploys crime prevention assistants to streets
Crime prevention assistants (APK) have begun patrolling the streets of Prague 14 to maintain public order. Working in two-person patrols, the assistants will focus on high-risk areas and locations near schools to prevent criminal activity, protect persons and property, and act as mediators in conflict situations.
The initiative is a collaboration with the Police of the Czech Republic and follows the approval of a new security concept for 2026–2031. The project was funded by a grant from the Ministry of the Interior. The current deployment of four assistants is scheduled to continue until the end of the year, following a period of specialized training and field mapping led by mentors from the Prague III District Police Directorate.
