Prague 5 Extends Four-Year Anti‑Graffiti Program

The Prague 5 district will continue its anti‑graffiti initiative for another four years. The municipal council selected the incumbent contractor to remove illegal graffiti within 48 hours of a report and to apply protective anti‑graffiti coatings on both public and private buildings. The contract also includes brickwork repairs, surface preparation, regular monitoring and the identification of designated free‑wall zones for legitimate street‑art.

Mayor Lukáš Herold (ODS) said the program, launched in 2017, is one of the most effective tools for keeping public spaces clean. By the end of 2025, 40 municipal properties and 120 private owners will have received the special protective coating, with the city covering the cost of any new graffiti removal for the duration of the coating’s effectiveness.
