Prague Airport CEO Radomír Lašák resigns after three months

Radomír Lašák has resigned from his position as the head of Prague Airport after serving for less than three months. While the Ministry of Finance cited personal reasons for his departure, the move has drawn sharp criticism from opposition politicians.

Opposition leaders, including ODS Chairman Martin Kupka and TOP 09 MP Michal Kučera, characterized the short tenure as a sign of government incompetence and irresponsible management of critical infrastructure. Kupka described the appointment as a risk to the airport, while Kučera labeled the situation as a result of senseless personnel politics.

During his brief leadership, which began on August 1, several key departures occurred, including the directors of internal audit, administration and management, and marketing and communication. Senator Ondřej Lochman also noted that Lašák brought a former strategic communications head from Agrofert to serve as his assistant and had overseen a decision to increase departing passenger fees by six percent.
