Prague approves new names for future Metro D stations

The Prague City Council has approved new official names for several upcoming stations on the Metro D line to better reflect their local context and improve navigation. The station previously referred to by the working name Náměstí Bratří Synků will now be named Nusle, while the station known as Olbrachtova will be named Ryšánka. A final decision regarding the station currently called Depo Písnice has been postponed.

In conjunction with these naming updates, the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) has released new visualizations for the Náměstí Míru and Nusle stations, designed by Metroprojekt Praha. These designs illustrate the proposed layouts for platforms, vestibules, and exits. While these visuals provide a sense of the stations' appearance, the final architectural details—including interiors, lighting, and furniture—will be determined through an upcoming architectural competition organized by the DPP.
