Prague-Benešov rail line faces disruptions due to ring road construction

Rail services between Prague-Uhříněves and Říčany (including Strančice) will face significant disruptions from October 11 to November 3 due to construction on the Prague Ring Road. To facilitate the relocation of a temporary track section back to its original position, train traffic will be restricted to a single track, reducing overall capacity.

On weekdays, half of the S9 line services will be shortened, terminating at Praha-Uhříněves instead of continuing to Říčany or Strančice. To mitigate the impact, a shuttle bus service, line XS9, will operate between Říčany and the Háje metro station, running every ten minutes in the morning and every fifteen minutes in the afternoon.

Additional adjustments include R49 fast trains making extraordinary stops at Praha-Kolovraty and Strančice during peak hours, and three morning R17 express trains providing service to Říčany. While personal trains on the Prague-Benešov route will continue, passengers should expect delays of five to ten minutes due to the single-track operation.
