Prague City Hall to auction 17 central rental apartments

The Prague City Hall is launching an electronic auction for 17 rental apartments located in the city's historic center. The available properties vary significantly in size, ranging from a 22-square-meter studio to a large 4+1 apartment exceeding 220 square meters. Locations include Mikulandská street, Na Můstku, and Malé náměstí near Old Town Square.

Deputy Mayor Alexandra Udženija stated that while some municipal apartments are reserved for seniors or those in social distress, others that are not barrier-free are offered through this transparent auction process to ensure meaningful use of city resources.

The first round of registration begins on September 2. To qualify, applicants must meet specific criteria, including the requirement that they do not currently own any residential real estate. Winners will be determined based on the highest monthly rent offered.
