Prague Congress Centre to Build 1,500‑Seat Exhibition Hall

Construction of a new exhibition hall for 1,500 people will begin at the Prague Congress Centre (KCP) in July 2026, with completion slated for September 2028.

The project costs about 1.35 billion Czech crowns, with roughly 1.2 billion funded by KCP and the remainder contributed by the city of Prague, the sole shareholder.

Designed by OCA Architects together with CMC Architects, the hall will be raised on columns, leaving open space underneath and can be divided into up to five separate areas. It aims to meet demand from about 15 major international congresses, especially in medicine, that KCP has had to reject due to lack of capacity.

The new hall expands the KCP campus, which already includes 70 rooms, the Business Centre Vyšehrad and a Holiday Inn hotel, increasing overall capacity to host larger events and support Prague’s position as a global congress destination.
