Prague expands winter flight connections to Poprad and Bolzano

Prague Václav Havel Airport is expanding its winter flight connections to several popular mountain destinations. After a 15-year hiatus, a direct route between Prague and Poprad, Slovakia, will resume on October 25. Operated by Wizz Air, the flight will run three times a week on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with capacity expected to increase during the Christmas and New Year period.

Additionally, SkyAlps will launch a direct service from Prague to Bolzano, Italy, starting December 9 and running through March 28, 2027. This route will operate twice weekly using Dash 8-Q400s aircraft, providing easier access to the Dolomites for Czech skiers.

Local tourism officials and representatives from Tatry Mountain Resorts noted that these connections are expected to boost international and domestic tourism in the High and Low Tatras, as well as the Liptov region, following a recent 30 percent increase in Czech visitors to the area.
