Prague hosts Konvergence concert and 'Unite in Babylon' participatory music event

The Prague-based composer collective Konvergence staged a themed concert titled "silent eternum" on 9 June at St. Lawrence Church. The program featured works exploring silence and inner quiet, including Tomáš Pálka’s "silent distance" and a piece by Albanian composer Aulon Naçi that highlighted Albanian rhythmic traditions. Performers included Jiří Mráz (clarinet), David Danel (violin), Ondřej Štochl (viola), Sebastian Tóth (cello) and Jiří Lukeš (accordion).

A week later, on 17 June, the city square of Wenceslas welcomed the first Czech edition of "Unite in Babylon," a live, community‑driven music gathering. Organized by the Rainbow Family and featuring singer‑songwriter Sebastian Prax, the event invited participants to sing, dance and create a shared, spiritual space. Roughly two hundred people formed circles on the paving stones, improvising chants and movements in a celebration of cultural coexistence and alternative spirituality.
