Prague mayoral candidates outline plans for infrastructure and senior care

Candidates for the Prague mayoralty are outlining their strategies to address the city's management, infrastructure, and demographic challenges. Jan Hušbauer of the ANO party has proposed a managerial approach to city governance, emphasizing the need for decisive action over ideology. His platform includes conducting an inventory of major city investments, establishing realistic schedules for the Metro D line, and appointing a coordinator for transport construction to better manage road closures.

Addressing the city's aging population and high cost of living, candidates are proposing various social support measures. Tomáš Portlík (ODS) highlighted ongoing projects to increase residential care capacities, including new facilities in Dolní Počernice. Petr Hlaváček (STAN) emphasized the importance of field nursing services, personal assistance, and community centers to support active aging and prevent social isolation. Jan Hušbauer (ANO) also pledged to increase the capacity of senior homes to reduce waiting lists for specialized care.
