Prague metro: Bystander rescues child falling into tracks

A seven-year-old boy was rescued after falling into the tracks at the Muzeum metro station in Prague. The child, who was accompanied by a family member, was distracted by a mobile phone and stepped into the track area without noticing.

A bystander acted quickly by jumping into the tracks to reach the boy, and other passengers assisted in pulling him back onto the platform within seconds. The use of an emergency stop button also helped prevent an incoming train from reaching the area immediately.

The boy sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by paramedics. Police have issued a warning regarding the dangers of using mobile phones or headphones while walking near metro platforms, noting that such distractions can lead to fatal accidents.
