Prague mushroom foraging locations and urban furniture trends

Mushroom foraging remains a popular activity in the Czech Republic, with several locations near Prague offering seasonal opportunities. The Klánovický forest is a notable spot accessible by train from Prague's Masaryk Station, though some areas have been heavily picked. Kytín, located near Mníšek pod Brdy, is reported as one of the better locations in October, offering easy access by bus from Smíchov. Additionally, the forests around Baně and Cukrák are accessible via bus from Smíchov, and recent finds have been reported in the forests near Lány.

In urban Prague, the city is undergoing a process of unifying street furniture, such as bus shelters, trash cans, and benches, often using an anthracite color scheme. This contrasts with historical trends where standardized designs, like the classic curved benches, were common across the country. Some older, comfortable bench models were historically stolen from public spaces for use in private gardens.
