Prague public transport warns of bus delays due to school season and roadwork

Prague Integrated Transport (PID) has warned of significant bus delays coinciding with the start of the new school year. Commuters traveling from the Central Bohemian Region into Prague should expect increased travel times due to several ongoing infrastructure projects and road restrictions.

Major delays are anticipated near Jíloviště on road I/4, where bridge construction will reduce traffic to a single lane from September 1 to September 4. Regional buses, including lines 317, 319, 320, 392, 393, 395, 407, 416, 420, and 428, may face delays exceeding 30 minutes during morning peak hours. Additionally, lines 317, 320, and the night line 961 will temporarily bypass certain stops.

Other disruptions include sewer repairs in Roztocká Street, affecting lines 107, 147, 340, and 350 until September 6, and continued bridge reconstruction at Šmejkalka on the D1 highway, impacting lines 401, 402, and 406.

PID noted that passengers will not be penalized for expired tickets due to traffic delays, as inspectors verify validity based on the official timetable. However, passengers missing connections due to delays are advised to request a confirmation of delay from the driver.
