Prague school receives terrorist threat via hacked student account

Police in Prague are investigating a terrorist threat sent through the Bakaláři school management system to the Academy of Crafts (Akademie řemesel Praha – Střední škola technická). The message, which included antisemitic slurs and threats of violence involving firearms and grenades, was sent from a student's profile.

Preliminary investigations suggest the student was not the author. Police believe an unknown perpetrator likely hacked the student's account to distribute the message. Following the threat, police secured the school and evacuated students to a nearby field as a precaution. No immediate danger was found as the identified student was unarmed.

Authorities are investigating several criminal offenses, including unauthorized access to a computer system, dangerous threats, and spreading an alarmist message. Police noted this is the second similar case they are currently addressing and have advised all Bakaláři users to review their account security.
