Prague Science Film Fest to showcase global scientific documentaries

The Prague Science Film Fest (PSFF) is scheduled to take place from October 19 to 22, 2026, at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (ČZU) campus. The festival will showcase international documentaries that explore scientific research, the complexities of the human brain, and the natural world.

This year's competition received 189 film entries. Attendees can expect to see 15 competing films distributed across six daily screenings. The program includes various perspectives, such as the film ‘Our Brain Is Playing Tricks on Us’, which examines cognitive illusions, and ‘Derek vs Derek’, which explores the return of agricultural land to nature.

Festival director and dramaturg Zdeněk Rychtera described the event as a celebration of a vital genre that documents the current state of humanity and civilization as it expands into virtual spaces and outer space.
