The Prague Stock Exchange saw its main index PX rise 1.04% to 2,766.09 points, with notable gains in Colt, CSG, Erste, Komerční banka and ČEZ. German DAX also climbed, led by Infineon Technologies (+3.7%), Airbus (+3.0%) and Merck (+2.7%). The market report highlighted upcoming economic data, including July CPI and retail sales figures.
From 2027 the exchange will lengthen its trading day, moving the closing time from 16:25 to 17:00. The continuous trading phase will be extended by 35 minutes, allowing investors more time to react to late‑day news and European market movements. The change aims to improve liquidity and align Prague’s schedule with other major European exchanges, while also supporting the transition to a T+1 settlement system.
