Prague Stock Exchange Index Hits Three-Month High

The Prague Stock Exchange’s PX index rose 2.71% to 2,654.46 points, the highest closing level in the past three months. The gain followed a 1.65% drop the previous week, marking the strongest mid‑week rebound since early April.

Defence‑sector shares led the rally, with CSG climbing about 12% after a broader recovery in the weapons market. Other notable gainers included Doosan Škoda Power (+7.5%), ČEZ (+3.6%), Komerční Banka (+2.9%), VIG (+2.3%), Moneta (+2.1%) and Erste (+1.6%). Photon Energy recorded the steepest loss, down roughly 5.5%. Investor activity was higher than the week before, although overall trading volumes remained below average.
