Prague Stock Exchange rises above 2600 points on energy and banking gains

The Prague Stock Exchange’s PX index climbed above the 2600‑point level, gaining about 0.6 % to 2608.12 points. The rally was led by shares of energy group ČEZ and the banking sector, with Erste Bank up 2.48 % and other banks such as Komerční Banka and Moneta Money Bank posting modest gains. Some industrial firms, including Doosan Škoda Power and Colt CZ, fell. The Czech koruna edged stronger against the euro and the dollar.

A broader market outlook noted positive sentiment across Western European and Asian exchanges, driven by optimism around artificial‑intelligence investments and a reported easing of Middle‑East geopolitical tensions, which together supported the upward move in the Czech market.
