Prague Stock Exchange weekly PX index falls 0.5% amid mixed stock moves

The Prague Stock Exchange's main index (PX) slipped about 0.5% this week, closing around 2,548 points. Photon Energy led gains with a 28% rise after announcing a CZK 28 dividend per share, while Doosan Škoda Power climbed 9.5% on strong performance. Kofola, Erste Group and several other stocks posted modest increases.

ČEZ saw the biggest drop, falling roughly 3.8% ahead of its June 1 shareholders' meeting where a dividend of CZK 42 per share is expected and a restructuring to spin off non‑core activities. Other losers included Primoco, VIG and Moneta. Trading volume was below the long‑term average for most of the week, spiking only on Friday.

The report also noted the U.S. S&P 500 continued to reach new highs, but the focus remained on the Czech market’s dividend announcements and the upcoming ČEZ AGM.
