Prague theater venues announce new seasons and diverse programs

Prague's cultural scene is expanding its theatrical offerings with new seasons at Peškovka and Nová Spirála.

Peškovka (Tvůrčí dům Elišky Peškové) is entering its third season, focusing on seven new premieres and residential support for young artists from institutions such as DAMU, HAMU, JAMU, and VOŠH. The upcoming program includes the premiere of ‘Je po Maryše’ directed by Nela Kleinert, a residency project featuring three new plays by American authors, and a production titled ‘Sabotage’ by the HAMU student collective ⅕ VKUSU. Additionally, the theater will present ‘Orten,’ a new production by the JEDL ensemble based on the diaries of Jiří Orten.

Nová Spirála, located at the Prague Výstaviště, continues to utilize its circular hall and revolving stage to create immersive experiences. The venue's repertoire includes the return of the adaptation ‘Madisonské mosty,’ starring Vanda Hybnerová and Jan Révai, and ‘Human Zoo,’ a multidisciplinary project by Viktor Tauš and Roman Holý. ‘Human Zoo’ integrates theater, music, and movement, featuring performers such as Lenka Dusilová, Ondřej Ruml, Matěj Ruppert, Tomáš Sean Pšenička, and Jan Cina.
