Prague transport history: Otakar Drozda and upcoming Taťka fest
Otakar Drozda, a lifelong enthusiast of trolleybuses, is remembered for driving the final official trolleybus route in Prague in October 1972. Having grown up watching the vehicles in the Smíchov district, Drozda pursued a career with the Prague transport company, working as both a mechanic and a driver.
Additionally, the Prague 8 district has announced the Taťka fest, a free family event scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Beachklub Ládví sports complex. The program includes demonstrations by the Municipal Police and firefighters, a traffic accident simulator, and first aid workshops led by IFMSA medical students. The event will also feature various sports demonstrations, including volleyball, parkour, and street dance.
