Prague villa of Dagmar Havlová recognized as architectural gem

The villa in Prague's Střešovice district, located near the Ořechovka villa quarter, stands as a significant example of First Republic architecture with Art Deco elements. Originally designed by architect Rudolf Eisler, the residence was purchased in 1993 by former Czech President Václav Havel and his first wife, Olga Havlová.

The property has undergone extensive reconstruction to blend historical nobility with modern comfort. The renovation involved architect Petr Malinský, while the interior design was handled by renowned Czech designer Bořek Šípek. The residence currently serves as the home of actress Dagmar Havlová, widow of Václav Havel.
