The Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) is searching for an organizer to run an open, two‑round architectural competition for the upcoming Metro line D stations at Náměstí Míru and Nusle. The public contract is valued at roughly 2 million CZK (ex VAT) and the winner is expected to be selected within 18 months of the contract award. The competition will operate as a workshop‑based process, inviting architects, designers and other experts to propose station designs that match the significance of the locations.
DPP also plans to issue design contests for the future stations at Písnice and for an artistic element at Pankrác, with calls for proposals slated for August and work beginning in September. The initiative follows previous successful competitions that shaped stations such as Libuš, Pankrác D, Olbrachtova, Nádraží Krč, Nemocnice Krč and Nové Dvory.
Anna Švarc, DPP architect and project manager, said the effort aims to deliver high‑quality, sustainable solutions that will serve travelers and the city for decades.
