Prague's Za dveřmi Street Theater Festival Returns for 18th Edition

The Za dveřmi street‑theater festival will celebrate its 18th edition in Prague from 14 to 19 July 2026. The six‑day program takes place at the Prague Exhibition Grounds in front of the Industrial Palace and on Mariánské Square, offering a mix of large‑scale and intimate open‑air performances by Czech and international troupes.

Highlights include the German “depressive clown” Matthias Romir, the contemporary circus group Cink Cink Cirk, Czech modern‑magic champion Aleš Hrdlička, Slovak vintage jazz ensemble Paper Moon Trio, and a Swiss pop‑up cinema collective Panorama Kino Theatre. A family day with interactive installations and a concluding gala show hosted by the duo Bratři v tricku are also scheduled. Admission is by donation.

The festival, organized by ArtProm with support from the Prague City Hall and the Ministry of Culture, aims to blend monumental street pieces with intimate physical theatre, black‑humor poetry, and acrobatic family games.
