Praha 4 donates funds to Pankrác prison for equipment

The Prague 4 district has approved a 50,000 CZK donation to the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. The funds are designated for the purchase of tactical helmets and flashlights for staff at the Pankrác detention prison, replacing outdated equipment for the facility's fire protection unit.

The donation follows a long-standing cooperation between the district and the prison. Inmates from the Pankrác facility have historically assisted with local community projects, including painting fences, cleaning parks such as Na Jezerce in Nusle, and maintaining public spaces and school facilities.

Separately, regional reports from the Hradec Králové area highlighted several local developments. These include the successful breeding of pygmy marmosets at the Dvůr Králové Safari Park, a species facing habitat loss in Madagascar, and historical insights into the Podzámčí area of Hradec Králové.
