Prahova County search ends with body of missing fisherman recovered

Authorities in Prahova County, Romania, launched a large‑scale rescue operation after a 112 call reported a man missing during a fishing trip. The fisherman's boat was found drifting, prompting deployment of fire‑fighter teams, a rescue boat, specialist divers and medical personnel. Searches were conducted on the water surface and at depth using special locating equipment. After several hours of effort, divers recovered the missing man's body. The incident remains under investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the disappearance.

The operation was coordinated by the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, which continues to examine the case.
