Praia Clube defeats JF Vôlei in five-set thriller

Praia Clube secured a 3-2 victory against JF Vôlei in their debut match of the Campeonato Mineiro de Vôlei Masculino. The match, held at the Ginásio Municipal Jornalista Antônio Marcos, went to a tie-break after a competitive series of sets.

Praia Clube won the first set 25-16, but JF Vôlei responded to win the second 25-18 and the third 25-21. Praia Clube then leveled the score by taking the fourth set 25-19. In the decisive tie-break, Praia Clube dominated with a 15-7 scoreline to claim the win.

JF Vôlei coach André Silva noted that despite the loss, earning a point against a high-level team like Praia Clube is a positive step for his squad, which features several players making their adult championship debuts. JF Vôlei is scheduled to face Sada Cruzeiro in their next match.
